Track and Trace
With a PDA, it is possible to report certain events to CargoOffice so that real-time Tracking and Tracing becomes possible. This goes through a standard browser that is present on the PDA. In addition to this status a GPS location may be passed to the CargoOffice so that the position can be displayed on a map. This is done by the by JTTC program postGPS.
Buffering
Because the program also operates in Australia, and a GPRS connection isn't widely available, the question arose to simply be able to work even when there is no GPRS connection. The program is currently also given the capability to store data on the PDA where the data is transmitted to the server at a time when the speed exceeds 15 km / h and a GPRS connection can be established.
More information on this development will be posted on our website.
